In the glow of the successful release of the album’s first single, Shona Phansi, Mr Grindsmith releases the final artwork and tracklist of his much talked about debut album – CapiTAAL_East. 

When asked to explain the concept behind the album, he says, “I put a lot of thought into what I wanted the album cover and name to say about me, my music and my message”.

The result is a word-play that communicates both where he’s from and he’s ultimate mission in life: “Gettin’ that paper!” The cover shows Mr Grindsmith with his middle finger over the iconic Telkom tower with a mean-muggin’ look on his face. He says, “this is my way of showing that we gon’ get that cake no matter what. We ain’t scared of nothing”. An attitude that persists throughout the album.

Asked what the fans can expect from his latest offering he answers, “Nothing like you’ve ever heard before, the next level in Hip Hop”. And if the reception of his first single is anything to go by, we can expect many more blazing hot singles.
